Your Dog’s BCS

Behavior therapist and advanced canine nutrition expert, Jessica Beck and holistic veterinarian Dr. Lex offer expert guidance on assessing your dog's Body Condition Score (BCS) and breaking down the myth behind kibble and raw food. This info empowers your decisions on health, diet, and care, promoting a happier, healthier life for your dog. Understanding the BCS helps you tailor their diet and exercise plan, improving life quality by maintaining optimal weight. Informed feeding choices and ideal body condition can save you money and even your dog's life.

Over 60% of dogs are overweight.

Knowing your dog's body score helps avoid health problems. It prevents obesity-related issues like joint pain and heart disease, and underweight concerns leading to malnutrition. Early understanding can also catch chronic diseases sooner and tackle behavioral issues linked to weight-related discomfort.

Kibble vs. raw

Making the right choices for your dog's food can be tricky. We'll break down what's in kibble and how it affects your dog. Also, we'll clear up myths about raw diets and discuss when it's better to cook their food. Plus, we'll cover the latest on dehydrated and freeze-dried options to keep your dog healthy.

What To Expect

We're limiting group size to ensure a personalized experience, giving you the chance to ask Jessica or Dr. Lex direct questions and receive individual assessments. We'll start by teaching you how to master your dog's body score assessment—a crucial tool for gauging your dog's health—and guide you through making smart dietary choices that fit your budget. Plus, you'll have an opportunity for a brief one-on-one session to practice hands-on and learn professional assessment techniques for your dog.
